At this point, I think my neighbors may wonder if I’m a compulsive shopper! Every day, no less than two deliveries are made here. I wish I were kidding. Between Amazon, FedEx, UPS, and USPS someone is always making that walk up to my front door to deliver a package.
Shopping for Christmas is a tad different this year. The current mask fiasco embracing our country has made me a POH (prisoner of home). Masks and I have a hate/hate relationship which means if I can’t pick it up curbside or have it delivered, I don’t need it.
The funny part is I have to pull out every ounce of my mom stealth thanks to varying school start and finish times and the hubby’s work schedule. Packages, boxes and bags dropped all Willy-nilly at random times means I’m stalking the front stoop like the Leverage team casing a mark.
Trust and believe me, I know it is not about what’s under the tree. Pastors wife! Hello!! I know exactly what Christmas is all about. But, it doesn’t stop me from working tirelessly to find the right gifts for everyone each year.
With everything that’s happened this year, I’ve been paying extra attention to what’s been said by everyone. I want to do my best to bring smiles and spread happiness in every way possible. I mean I put my Christmas tree up on November 4th and I am generally in the Not-Before-Thanksgiving group of decorators. So, for the next few weeks, I will be pulling out all of my ninja mom stealth moves to retrieve, wrap, and hide gifts sure to make the season a little brighter!
